The Soul Babies
The Soul Babies is part of a movement that started from Winetime Players (NW Legendary Band). The Band is the house band for Direct Supply Records, Direct Supply Production and its artist. There is several solo projects within the group of Direct Supply. Direct Supply main foundation is members Richard “Soul Baby” Lowery, Kennard “R&B Baby”Julien and Tonyo “Funk/hop Baby” Summers. This combination blends Soul, Gospel, R&B and Funk-Hop. Real artist real entertainers and music historians. The Soul Baby style is compatible to Silk Sonic, Black Street, Gap Band , Bruno Mars with a Funk-Hop Twist. Their music is perfect blend for any party, family gathering, road trip(ride music) radio and any other outlets. Their first single was part of a classic Christmas compilation “That Time of Year” which is the Title track. This song has received such great feedback the band name then Direct Supply named after the production company “DSR decided to put together a complete project under the name “The Soul Babies.” The Soul babies will release Funk undertone Addictive Music. They explain, once you open yourself up to something different and much needed in the music industry you will be addicted. Nivel
Felipe J. Ortiz aka Nivel (Nivelosky)
Raised in Puerto Rico and U.S.V.I (St. Croix)
Started boxing at age 5 after getting shot in the chest by sister. “Boxing and music runs in the family and in our blood”. Moved to the state of Washington at age 15, because of family. Always had a love for music and started writing at age 16. Started performing at local Latin festival and clubs. Started performing some of the hottest reggatone music out. Then at 18 Nivel started recording his material and once this happened, it was like magic.
Recording and writing became easy and is the passion. Over the next few years Nivel polished is lyrical style and voice to become one of the best rappers out the west. Direct Supply Entertainment gains notice of this talent and eventually join forces. While working on his album Entitled “SUELTA” Direct Supply producer Tonyo gets Nivel a Feature a SKEELO (2 time Grammy nominated) record entitled “Club Song” and he just destroys the track and a star is born. “His voice and rhythm draws you in and becomes addicting to the ear. Nivel has the image of an International star and the personalilty to go far in the entertainment industry as a whole. A1 Swervo Music/Direct Supply Entertainment will be dropping his debut rereleasing “Suelta” with a grimy street party video to boot. A true Reggaetone artist that is about to knock the door wide open and his name is NIVELOSKY.
